One to one behavioural consults
One to One home visits giving training and behaviour advice where and when it is needed at a time to suit you.
All training and advice is given with you present at all times.
Your dog’s behaviour can never be looked at in isolation as you, your dog and your situation are all part of the picture (and problem) you are shown how to handle your dog and manage different situations whilst you put your behaviour modification plan into action.
You are always with your dog and you see everything that happens, we do not use any harsh methods.
We always start our behaviour modifications in your home as this is where most problems originate from. We work on you and your dogs relationship and how you can best help your dog to understand what you want/need from him, this means I need to see the whole picture and would normally like to meet the family members that are involved with the dog on a day to day basis.
The sort of things I can help with
· aggression dog/ dog or dog/human
· excessive barking
· fear
· destructive dogs
· toileting problems
· etc
I may feel it appropriate to refer you back to your vet for a full health check as some behaviour problems can be caused by a medical problem which will never be cured by behaviour modification alone, I am happy to write veterinary letters stating my reasons for different types of health checks required if necessary.
Sometimes it is appropriate to have a ‘head start’ one to one to help you through the initial puppy stage, especially if this is your first dog or it is a long time since your last puppy. On this we will cover any questions you may have along with lots of practical advice specifically tailored for your family and your puppy.
