Play care for your dog when you ‘have’ to go to work, have appointments or when you just need a day out with granny or the kids.

Open; Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm or other days times by arrangement

A safe and secure environment for your dog to play with his/her friends, located away from main roads and busy areas for ease of access.

Dog safety is always our first priority so the building was refurbished to limit any possible hazards for your dog and a non-slip dog friendly rubber flooring was laid.  Dogs have to pass between at least two gates/doors to be able to enter/leave the property.

For extra safety, only designated people will be allowed to collect your dog.

Dogs will be assessed for suitability as not all dogs are happy with other dogs in this type of situation, though most love it.

Dogs will be introduced to the other dogs at their own pace and under careful supervision to ensure it is a smooth and pleasant experience for your dog.

You will be made very welcome should you wish to pop in during the day to visit your dog or feel free to telephone anytime to see how he/she is.

Those of you who have dogs that may need feeding or medicating during the day our staff are more than happy to do this with written authorisation.

Doggie day care should be a happy experience for your dog so we aim to make our centre a fun place to be, dogs will have constant supervision and will have a variety of equipment to be played with such as tunnels and toys. You are more than welcome to provide your dogs favourite toys and bring their beds for when they need a nap. Your dog will go home satisfied and usually tired! In fact many owners are now using us to tire their dogs out so they don't have so much exercise to give them after work.

Please contact us for more details and full terms and conditions/costs.

Outline of our services

Playcare  provides a service from 8am to 6pm 5 days a week

We alternate fun and appropriate play with relaxation and rest time, especially important for young puppies, a separate play environment is offered with a view to slow introduction with suitable adult dogs

Small dogs can be catered for in a similar manner to puppies and introduced to suitable dogs of appropriate size

The day can be tailored to your requirements, especially where manners, food manners and appropriate play are concerned

Neutering is not an issue, dogs can be in play care whether entire or neutered/spayed (no in season bitches please)

The staff have and experienced background in dog first aid and over 10 years experience in working with dogs of all varieties

All breeds accepted

Games played with your dog include;

Bobbing for treats

Find the toy/treat

Paper pools for interactive fun and stimulation of senses

Ball pool for fun and play

Hide and seek

and much more

Creating a relaxing atmosphere is important for when rest time is needed. Nap time is as important for our dogs as for our young children, as a result we see it as a very important part of the day and have nap time twice daily, usually between 11 and 12 and 3 and 4 o'clock.

.To facilitate this we offer a restful atmosphere using classical music combined with story time and lots of comfortable beds to snuggle up on. We find dogs resond very well and are more willing to settle when listening to calm human voice combined with one of our classical composers.

Our facilities are extensive and even include a sofa to help the dogs feel more at home in our environment. A paddling pool for warm weather, a paper pool and ball pool, interactive toys and treats stimulate your family member so theyare fulfilled physically and psychologically.

Should you wish us to take video or photographic footage of your dog through their day with or days with us we will be happy to oblige.

Should your dog have any behavioural issues please do not assume you are excluded, we are willing to work with these dogs, we would need to carry out an assessment and will help where we feel it is in your family members interest.

Your dog is eligible for free baths or lower prices if in attendance on a regular basis.

We also offer competitiveluy priced grooming on site, either whilst in play care or at other arranged times.

Testimonials

Brilliant idea! the change in my dog since attending has been amazing, plenty of one to one attention, walks, playtimes and cuddles! thank you so much. We have one very tired but bery, very happy Pom after her 'nursery days'  -   Amy

Doggie play care has been a fantastic help for our puppy Zivah. She's learnt how to interact with big and small dogs alike and comes home happy, calm and tired. It has also helped our 4 yr old Domino build up her confidence with bigger dogs after a couple of negative encounters on the park. We get a daily report of their day and regular photos of all the fantastic games they have played, not to mention the added bonus of some training practice too! Fantastic value for money and a great asset to Preston. Becky and Hannah provide all dogs with encouragement, boundaries, menta and physical games and of course lots of  fuss and cuddles, we trust them iplicitly with our dynamic duo -  Ni & Fi

These two ladies saved my sanity, my beautiful 8 month old border collie was sytematically wrecking my home and my sanity, not to mention being very bored on the three days i worked.

To the rescue came Becky and Hannah, they take him from 8am in the morning until 5 or 6pm at night on the days i work, Jake loves them and he knows which days they are coming. Always a happy dog he is even better now, and i don't worry about him when i am at work.I know he is well looked after, happy and stimulated

Becky and Hannah organise a range of things for him to do all day, he comes home exhausted and happy and we can enjoy the evenings relaxing together.

I recommend doggy playcare with Becky and Hannah and tell all my dog owning friends. I wish them every success, they deserve it. - Janet P

I recently started taking my golden retriever to doggie playcare once a week and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Both Becky and Hannah have a caring and calm way with dogs and I always feel very confident when leaving Belle with them knowing they will provide a safe and stimulating day whilst i work.

I drop off and pick up when it's convenient for me during their opening hours

I get a little slip each time she goes reporting Belle's  activities

They feed her with my food (hide and seek is a much more interesting activity for Belle compared to having her food from a ball)

She's stimulated mentally

She's learning 'dog manners'

She is settled in the evening . which makes a change for my dog!

She's had a taste of 'clicker training'

She meets lots of different shapes & sizes of dogs

On the first day all the dogss were kept out of the main play area where they watched whilst Belle had a good sniff at the toys, tents, tunnels etc and had a run around. Then slowly, one by one, certain dogs were let in to meet the 'new girl' at Becky's discretion.

So far, when i've =arrived to take her home, Becky and Hannah have been doing lead walking practice indoors, one to one interactive brain games, and just this week I turned into the long driveway to see the back of Belle ... tail wagging, happily lead walking with 5 other other dogs, all under the control  of Becky and Hannah, now how earth is she going to get that experience with me!

The hardest part for me was making that first step... making the phone call & popping in to arrange Belle's first day.

This is a 1st class, value for money service.. I only wish my last goldie could have had such fun!
