PUPPY AND BEGINNER CLASSES
The Kennel Club Puppy Foundation is followed for this 8 week course although all ages of dogs will start at this level, puppies will receive their KCGC puppy foundation certificate at the end of the 8 weeks providing they have achieved all exercises over the course, older dogs will receive our own certificate of attendance. No aggressive dogs will be permitted on these classes.
This course is designed to give you the basic training skills needed to have a well mannered dog
THE CLASS WILL COVER
- How your pup learns
- Basic training (sit, down, stand, stay, going through doors and gates safely, recalls, walking nicely on a lead, giving up toys/articles)
- Preventing problems (jumping up, play biting, chewing food/toy/resource guarding)
- How to get your pup to interact with other dogs and people in a safe and social manner
- Owner education
- And much more!
ALL TRAINING IS DONE WITH POSITIVE REWARD BASED TRAINING – TREATS AND TOYS, we actively encourage clicker trainers for those that already know how to use a clicker
ALL THE FAMILY IS WELCOME TO ATTEND SO YOU ALL LEARN HOW TO HANDLE YOUR DOG
CHILDREN ARE ESPECIALLY ENCOURAGED TO TRAIN THEIR NEW PUPPY
SHOULD YOU WISH TO GO ON TO SPECIALIST TRAINING ie; breed showing, agility, competitive obedience PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND THESE WILL BE CATERED FOR DURING THE TRAINING SESSIONS
